ibis budget Birmingham Airport - NEC

We had a lovely stay before jetting off. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with simple rooms that do exactly what you need them to. The food was good and service was excellent — special thanks to our server Gaurav, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. A great, hassle-free stop with everything done right. Would happily stay again

We stayed here for a trip to horse of the year show. It's a 2 minute walk from the airport and an easy hop to the NEC. Room is as you would expect for a budget ibis, clean comfy but basic. We arrived late and ate in the restaurant. We just about arrived in time but our host Kesh and his colleague Demi were fantastic. Being Coeliac, dining out can be stressful but I was reassured by a dedicated gluten free menu and Kesh was fantastic. He gave me a form to fill out and really gave me confidence that the kitchen would do all they can to keep me safe. I ordered curry and it was delicious. The service was fantastic and Kesh was super efficient, friendly and had a good since of humour. It's clear he takes pride in his job. I can't fault the hotel or the restaurant. It does want it says on the tin and is perfect for a comfy overnight stay or a couple of days.

This hotel does what it says on the tin. It's a budget hotel and you get budget facilities. The room was clean and had just enough to keep you comfortable. The bar and restaurant were pleasant and service was good. They are not good value for money but then there is no close by alternatives. The staff were friendly and although I had problems with the door key not working it's was fixed quickly and professionally.

Perfect location for an early flight from BHX. We were served by Yash in the bar. Great customer service. He was very attentive. Please can you put a ‘tips’ scanner on the bar so that people like us, who don’t carry cash, can give a tip. We certainly would have if we’d been able.

Stayed here ready for our holiday first thing , room mediocre but I guess you get what you pay for. We had evening food and drinks and was served by Matt, the food was lovely and Matt was very helpful and kind and may I say very calm and collected considering it was a very busy evening. Thankyou Matt for the service and thankyou chef for the great food.

Not enough electrical outlets in our room and the sink was blocked. We had a meal in the ground floor restaurant which was great, I had chicken burger, son had the same and hubby had the ribs which he said was very good and tasty. The waiter was friendly and very professional, guessing Matt is the supervisor or manager as the rest of the staff didn’t seem very happy although Matt was jolly and friendly. Matt was smartly dressed and very well presented, a few of the others could do worth buying an iron/ We will use this hotel when we return from our holiday.

Literally 2 min walk from the airport entrance, and, for £75 a night booked the day before, cheaper than parking for a few days (we took the train). Several previous reviews thank/name various restaurant staff, but the 5 stars I've given are for the proximity to the airport and the spotlessly clean room we were given. Again, our dinner was excellent, the pizza was freshly baked. The ribs were on par with Fatty Arbuckles! Large portion, tender and chunky. Pleasantly surprised with stay

Choose the budget Ibis as it was only a place to put our heads down before our flight in the morning. Check-in process was easy. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant, met by Matt who was extremely helpful and friendly. The only downside was the room didnt have a hairdryer (I know first world problems) but I haven't let this influence my rating. Overall it is good for the price I paid, I would stay here again.
